It has been 95% the preparation of security for Indonesian Robot Contest (KRI) on 11-14 June at Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY). It was stated by Rahmadi, Security chief of UMY in an interview. “Alhamdulillah, security of KRI for 3 days has been prepared. Main gate of UMY, areas around the venue, and the venue itself have been ready 95%,” he informed.
There would be 50 securities and 6 cops to save the 3-day contest. “We would divide security team into two groups for indoor and outdoor. For indoor, we would focus on the techniques of Sprotorium door, the venue, and accompanying the committee. For outdoor, we would concern with main gate, South gate, and north gate of UMY as well as parking area to prevent theft since there must be a lot of vehicles coming to UMY,” he inserted.
The security for the venue would be carried out by scanning the spectators. “We would scan what they bring that might be danger as sharp weapons, drugs, and bottles,” he mentioned.
