Students of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) associated in a team of KKN 109 and 009performed community service in Tanjan, Temuwuh, Dlingo, Bantul. The community service focused on raising people’s awareness on an online information system in this digital era.
Chief of the KKN 109 team Addien Fikriansyah stated that information dissemination in the era of Industrial Revolution 4.0 has been massive and rapid. “To develop an area can be commenced by an implementation of an online information system or publication,” declared Addien in an interview on Monday (11/2).
Meanwhile, chief of the KKN 009 team Alfiqi told that an establishment of the information system entails youth engagement since youth is believed that they are eager to learn something new and they are easily understand it.
“We provide training for the youth. Then, they will be responsible for managing information spread in the village,” he informed.
Additionally, a supervisor of the community service Dr. Adhianty Nurjanah, S.Sos., M.Si. asserted that the people in the village got difficulty in accessing information. “The workshop was conducted because a Village Information System (SID) has yet been optimized in Lungguh and Tanjan. The people have not utilized an online system to support village government and organization empowerment,” explained Adhianty.
The output of the workshop was that e-book of Profil Dusun Lungguh dan Tanjan (A Lungguh and Tanjan Profile). “The book can be accessed at
http://temuwuh.bantulkab.go.id. The
community service team also created an account of Facebook and Instagram to optimize the SID in the village,” said Adhiyanty.
