There will be a briefing on the status of MDMC in the past five years and five years to come, regarding their participation in local and international disasters. The internationalization of Muhammadiyah requires MDMC to play a role in the international stage, and that has been done by sending volunteers to the Philippines, Myanmar, and Bangladesh as explained by Dr. Rahmawati Husein.
The discussion agenda for the achievement and awareness of disaster programs will be discussed in the MDMC National Work Meeting. According to Dr. Rahmawati Husein, MDMC is not only a response agency, but an overall disaster preparedness, risk reduction, and post-disaster recovery agency. “Over the past five years, the MDMC has carried out the construction of Disaster Relief Hospitals in nine provinces in Indonesia, and the hospitals are resistant to disasters and if affected by disasters can function properly. For example, in Bima NTB when there was a flash flood, Muhammadiyah Hospital could operate on the fourth day, “said Rahmawati. (Hbb)
