UMY Successfully Achieved SINTA Rank 3 Accreditation in its First Submission to Indonesian Applied Accounting Journal (JATI) D3 Accounting Study Program

The D3 Accounting Study Program of Univeristas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta succeeded in getting the Third Rank Accreditation (SINTA 3) through the Indonesian Applied Accounting Journal (JATI) on its first submission. This is based on the Decree of the Minister of Research and Technology / Head of the National Research and Innovation Agency of the Republic of Indonesia Number 85 / M / 2020 Regarding the Ranking of Accreditation for Scientific Journal Period I 2020.

JATI is a peer-reviewed journal published by Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) in collaboration with APSA PTM, which publishes articles specifically related to case studies in the field of applied accounting. The head of the Accounting D3 study program, Barbara Gunawan, S.E., M.Sc., Ak.CA, revealed that JATI publishes its articles twice a year, namely in March and October, and the article will be reviewed by editors and reviewers who match their competence. “The process is very selective by only accepting research manuscripts in accounting with the case study method and reviewed by reviewers who are competent in their fields. This means this journal is scientific,” she added.

Puspita Dewi Wulaningrum, S.Pd., M.Sc, manager of the journal, added that the journal started publishing in print and online in March 2018. Currently, JATI has published 5 times namely Vol. 1 No. 1 in March 2018, Vol. 2 No. 1 in October 2018, Vol. 2 No. 1 in March 2019, Vol. 2 No. 2 in October 2019, and Vol. 3 No. 1 in March 2020. “Articles published amounted to 5 articles in a single publication with an average composition of 60 percent of articles from outside UMY and 40 percent originating from within UMY itself,” she said.

JATI is the first SINTA 3 accredited journal of the Vocational Program and is one of 7 SINTA accredited journals 3. At present, UMY has 10 SINTA accredited journals 2, 7 SINTA accredited journals 3, 5 SINTA accredited journals 4, and 1 SINTA accredited journal 5. In total, UMY has 23 SINTA accredited journals.
