Thus, a successful, tough, ‘unggul islami’ and ‘muda mendunia’ student has to be attributed to ourselves,” stated Ardhitapramesti Avianti H. P., the best medical student having GPA 3.98., in a graduation ceremony of Vocational, Undergraduate, and Graduate program of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) Period I Academic Year 2015/2016 on Saturday (17/10) at Sportorium of UMY.
Ardhita emphasized, “We will begin new life. Keep moving forward, trying, and daring to welcome our future. We ought to thank to our parents for supporting and appreciating our endeavor. This graduation is not only ours but also our parents’ because they always pray for us. Besides, we have to thank to our lecturers educating us for these recent four years.”
The graduates have to pursue their dreams. “Our parents’ choice to send us at UMY is right since this university has national and international achievements. Our duty right now is maintaining the name of UMY. We have to proud of being the alumni of UMY,” he inserted.
Furthermore, Prof. Bambang Cipto, M.A. conveyed,” your life is still long way. You will find distinctive condition after graduating from this university. You are in the process of being adult so that you may not give up and may not be disappointed. You have to adjust yourself to receive failure. A Chinese millionaire advised that you may not quit learning till 40 years old, and then you ought to decide what makes you comfortable with your job. Keep trying till you perceive satisfaction.”
He continued, “You have to prepare yourselves to endeavor, and do not work as standard of business hour. Take your time to find out novel and innovative notions. The business hour is 8 am – 4 pm, and shift your business hour from 8 am to 8 pm since ideas sometimes emerge when you stay long at office. Hard workers will be successful since they attempt to achieve their goals. Be the rich whose wealth will be beneficial for others.”
“Be UMY’s ‘unggul Islai’ and ‘muda mendunia’ alumni who are ready to put hard efforts. “Make a lot of mistakes till 1000 times since they will assist you to learn and understand what make you better. UMY’s alumni have to be young experts who are valuable for others,” he ended.
