Beater 2.3 Becomes the Winner of Indonesia Fire Fighting Robot Contest for Wheeled Division

Beater 2.3 from Universitas Islam Sultan Agung achieved the winner of Indonesia Fire Fighting Robot Contest (KRPAI) for Wheeled division conducted on Sunday (14/6) at Sportorium of Unviersitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY). Beater 2.3 won over the winner of international fire fighting robot contest 2014 Effiro from Politeknik Elektronika Negeri Surabaya.

“Alhamdulillah, our endeavor is paid by being the winner of KRPAI 2015,” expressed Faizal Aminuddin Aziz, chief of Beater 2.3. The team won over Effiro after fighting five candles and got penalty because of moving properties in the arena. On contrast, Effiro did not fight any candle and got penalty because of moving properties in the arena so that the point was -0.5.

Furthermore, Beater 2.3 compromising of Faizal Aminuddin Aziz, La Ode Muhammad Idris, and Ahmad Zuhri accompanied by a supervisor Bustanul Arifin. The Effiro itself consisted of Agus Nawawi, Mohammad Alvin Bakhu Rahmika, and Muhammad Rindo Wardhana accompanied by a supervisor Munawar Agus Riyadi.

Before the match of Beater 2.3 and Effiro, Play Maker from Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana Salatiga and Mobo Evo from Yogyakarta State University competed to achieve the second runner up and third runner up. Fighting three candles and getting one penalty, Play Maker achieved the second runner up with the total point was 14.5, while Mobo Evo achieved the third runner up after fighting2 candles so that the point was 10.

Additionally, as the winner Beater 2.3 would represent Indonesia in international fire fighting robot contest in the United States in several next week. Effiro wished that Beater 2.3 could name Indonesia in international level as the team did last year. “We hope that Beater 2.3 could be the winner of international fire fighting robot contest 2015 since the international fire fighting robot contest is easier,” stated Nawawi, chief of Effiro. He argued that national robot contest was more competitive than international contest.
