Closing of KRI 2018: Losing Is Not the End

National Indonesia Robot Contest (KRI) 2018 was officially closed on Friday (13/7) at Sportorium of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY).

Director of Student Affairs of Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education (Kemenristekdikti) Dr. Didin Wahidin, M.Pd. stated that KRI 2018 is a prestigious national contest presenting robots made by Indonesian generation. “All teams tried to their best during the contest. I am touched and appreciate all teams and their supervisors. All teams must have their own strategies, but a vital aspect is togetherness and I can see it on all participants,” he declared.

Didin added that the closing of the KRI 2018 is not the end, but is a beginning to upgrade and develop robots. He advised all participants to learn from series of KRI and experiences gained can be a trigger for their future. “This Friday evening, all winners are announced. I wish that all teams, winning or not, could take valuable lessons and experiences. On behalf of Kemenristekdikti, we would like to thank UMY for being a host and preparing for this KRI. I believe UMY does not work itself but it is for all people,” he expressed.
