Indonesia Dance Robot Contest (KRSTI), National Indonesia Robot Contest (KRI) 2018 will be conducted on Thursday-Friday (12-13/7) at Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY). One of the teams joining the KRSTI is Robogen from Sekolah Tinggi Manajemen Informatika dan Komputer Mitra Lampung (STMIK Mitra Lampung).
“We are grateful to participate at the KRI 2018 because this is the first experience for STMIK Mitra Lampung to join a national robot contest,” told Yogi Andeswari, a team member of Robogen of STMIK Mitra Lampung.
The Robogen had prepared for the KRSTI for five months. Due to a lot of problems, they should change the robot design three times and take their dress on to the robot. “Indeed, in the second running test, we also confront a technical program, wrong connection which we have not changed it yet so that the robot cannot move,” he stated.
Nevertheless, the problems did not hamper them to compete at the KRSTI. “We have prepared everything as our supervisor told to us. Insya Allah, we remain optimistic,” expressed Yogi.
In the running test, all teams may test their robot in an arena so that they can identify problems occurring to their robots. “In the running test, many problems happened as a robot fell down during the match, moved endlessly although the music had stopped,” explained Ilham Egi Anshori, a technical LO of the KRSTI.
