ABU Asia-Pacific Robocon 2015 is conducted on Sunday (23/8) at Sportorium of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY). A lot of spectators come and enliven the contest joined by 19 teams of 28 countries.

An Indonesian team from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) invited 2 buses of spectators to support them in ABU Robocon 2015. The spectators wore red clothes.

A student of Electrical Engineering of UMY M. Azna Firmansyah acted as the supporter coordinator of ITB team conveyed that they will support ITB team whole-heartedly. “We have prepared for supporting ITB team. Besides preparing yell, we have also made a banner, and we absolutely always pray so that the team can be the winner,” he told.

Moreover, it is the first time for ITB to represent Indonesia in ABU Robocon even though the institution had joined Indonesia Robot contest since 2007. The team had won Indonesia ABU Robocon (KRAI) of Indonesia Robot Contest (KRI). “This is the first time so that we will not waste this valuable occasion. We will do our best,” asserted Restu Ikhsanul Fikri, chief of ITB robot team.

Furthermore, other spectators also came from Malaysia. A coordinator of Malaysian team Muhammad Syahrir conveyed that his supporter team arrived at Yogyakarta since two days. “There are 38 people to encourage the team during the contest so that they can show their best,” he informed.

Additionally, one of the Malaysian supporters Erra Elvyna Randin expected that the Malaysian robot team can win the ABU Robocon 2015. “We wish that our team can be the winner of this contest, and can bear the name of Malaysia and our university,” she hoped.
