Various facilities have been prepared by the committee of Indonesia Robot Contest (KRI) which would be conducted on 11-14 June 2015 at Sportorium of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY). One of the prioritized facilities is electrical power during KRI.
For four-day KRI, the committee would provide electricity accounted 660kVA (Kilo Volt Ampere), and the other additional electrical power using electrical power house from the middle building of the university. Ir. Agus Jamal, M.Eng.m as the person in charge of electrical power of KRI was interviewed on Wednesday (10/6) at Sportorium. “The electrical preparation has been 100%. It is provided electrical power for lighting and stop contact accounted 160kVA, 500kVA for air conditioner supplied by genset. Thus, the total of electrical power is 660kVA, and we also provide electrical back-up if it is needed, utilizing electricity in the middle building of the university,” he informed.
The greatest amount of electrical power during KRI is used for lighting the venue. “We need fifty eight 400-watt lamps,” he told.
Agus inserted that to anticipate sifting electrical off in Yogyakarta, we have communicated to PLN (Perudahaan Listri Negara – State Electrical Company). “We told PLN that there would be a robot contest at UMY. Therefore, it is expected that they would not switch off the electricity during KRI, and the PLN agreed,” he asserted.
