Faculty of Engineering (FT) of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) cooperates with Chung Cheng University in five areas.
“The collaboration can be in term of summer internship, student exchange, visiting research, bilateral conference, and elite study program in Taiwan,” mentioned Prof. Jing-Cherng Tsai from Faculty of Engineering of CCU.
Dean of FT of UMY Jazaul Ikhsan, Ph.D. also welcomed the collaboration and expected cam be implemented soon to support internationalization of both parties.
Meanwhile, Vice Dean of FT of UMY Slanet Riyadi, Ph.D. agreed with collaboration proposed by CCU parties. “The summer internship is most likely conducted. Indeed, four or five students are interested in the internship program. They have filled the application form and will be interviewed,” told Slamet.
He also offers a visiting professor program from CCU to UMY. “We expect CCU can send professors to give lecturers and carry out a two-week or three-week workshop on research writing for teaching staffs at Faculty of Engineering of UMY. The faculty parties invited a Japanese professor to teach at UMY. Thus, we are eager that professors of other universities can share their experience and knowledge,” Slamet ended.
