After the autopsy result of Siyono was reported on Monday (11/4), PP Muhammadiyah established Humanitarian Defense Team (TPK). The team members are Legal Aid Institute (LBH) of Yogyakarta, Legal Counseling and Aid Center (PKBH) of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY), PKBH of Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD), PKBH of Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS), PUSHAM of UII, PAHAM of DIY, Forum LSM, ICM, LBH of Kadin DIY, and LBH BASKARA PM DIY. The establishment aims at verifying a lawsuit of Siyono’s case to the National Commission of Human Rights (Komnas HAM).
In a press conference on Wednesday (13/4) at PUSHAM of UII, one of the team members as well as Dean of Law Faculty of UMY, Dr. Trisno Raharjo, S.H. M.Hum. declared that the team urged the Komnas HAM to turn Siyono’s case into a human rights violation.
“The autopsy revealed the evidence that Siyono was murdered so that this team insists Komnas HAM to render the case a human rights violation,” Trisno conveyed. The autopsy showed saponification and bruises due to blunt blow. It was found intra-vital tissue damages causing a broken sternum and ribs leading to the damage of organs in the chest cavity and death,” Trisno informed.
The other supporting evidence was 100 million rupiahs given to Siyono’s wife. “This team is preparing a letter for Kapolri so that the issue is dealing with an ethic violation and criminal offense and the law should be upheld. Both Komnas HAM and the national police can use the bribe and the autopsy report as the evidence,” Trisno compelled.
Trisno also appealed the police to remain independent of investigating the issue even though who are suspected in the case are the police members. “This team expects that the police can work professionally in scrutinizing the issue,” he ended.
