Fostering the quality of education for students, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) inaugurated 30 new educators for several faculties at UMY, namely Islamic Studies (PAI), Information Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Laws, International Relations, Nurse, Medicines, Hospital Management, and Pharmacy.

Secretary of Daily Advisor Board (BPH) of UMY Drs. Sukiman acted as the one who inaugurated and gave the Decree (SK) for the educators. The inauguration was conducted on Thursday (30/7) at Lobby Rector of A.R. Fachruddin A, Floor 1, UMY.

In a remark, Sukiman expected that those 30 educators can adapt to rules of UMY. “We are waiting for your commitment and responsibility. This SK is milestone of educators to actualize UMY a ‘Muda Mendunia’ university,” he hoped.

Sukiman inserted, “Educators are supposed to be join at Muhammadiyah institutions like UMY to dedicate themselves to Muhammdiyah.”

The open recruitment of the educators has several phases. Drs. Gita Danupranata, M.M. mentioned, “The open recruitment comprised of administrative selection, technical competence test, micro teaching, IQ test, TOEFL test, and Academic Potential Test (TPA). Then, those who passed the phases went to interview test. This last test was conducted by BPH and UMY’s managers to inquiry the commitment and willingness to be educators at UMY.”
