Governmental Studies (IP) of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) conducted a futsal competition for senior high school students across Yogyakarta. It was held on Thursday (12/5) at futsal arena of UMY.
Head of Governmental Study Lecturer Association of Indonesia (ADIPSI) Dr. Titin Purwaningsih stated that the futsal competition is one of the ways to promote the department. “Besides visiting the senior high schools in Indonesia, the department promotion can be undertaken through the competition. The department party would like to invite the high school students to see UMY,” she conveyed.
She informed that the competition aims at interweaving the good relationship between the department and senior high schools in Yogyakarta. “It is essential to have the good relationship with them so that the high school students can obviously recognize UMY and this department,” she argued.
She told the high school students that Governmental Studies of UMY can be their main priority due to several strengths such as the ‘A’ accreditation for 15 years and the wide national and international links. “The department also possesses an international class, namely International Program of Governmental Studies (IGOV). Alhamdulillah, we are now cooperating with overseas universities so that Governmental Study students can study at Spain, the People’s Republic of China, South Korea, Thailand, the Philippines, and Malaysia,” she mentioned.
She also invited all the futsal participants and all the audience to join and utilize the occasions provided by Governmental Studies or International Program of Governmental Studies (IGOV) of UMY.
