ITB Becomes the Winner of Indonesia ABU Robot Contest

Indonesia Robot Contest (KRI) 2015 at Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogykarta was successfully conducted on Thursday (11/6) – Sunday (14/6). Dagominton of Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) became the winner of Indonesia ABU Robot Contest (KRAI) 2015, achieving the rolling trophy, and deserved to go to international ABU robot contest held in August at Sportorium of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY).

In the KRI, ABU robot contest was the prominent contest. Dagimonton from ITB won over Barelang 5.5 from Politeknik Negeri Batam with the score 5-1.

The winner of the ABU robot contest was announced in the closing ceremony of the KRI 2015 at Sportorium of UMY on Sunday afternoon (14/6). In the closing, Rector of UMY Prof. Dr. Bambang Cipto, MA expressed his thank you to all participants, supporters, judges, and umpires.

Furthermore, he uttered that Indonesia, indeed, has such incredible assets to be proud of in international level. However, the assets are hidden still in youth. “Therefore, this Indonesia Robot Contest is expected to be media to foster the remarkable assets that could be the pride of people in the world,” he stated.

Additionally, the winner of KRI 2015 based on judge decree No. 002/SKBT/KRI/UMY/2015 conveyed by Chief of Judges Ir. Wahidin Wahab was Dagominton from ITB, Barelang 5.5 from Politeknik Negeri Batam as the runner up, INVICTO from University of Brawijaya as the second runner up, and IRTONAS from Politeknik Negeri Jember as the third runner up. For Indonesia Fire Fighting Robot Contest (KRPAI) for Wheeled Division Beater 2.3 from Universitas Sultan Agung (UNISULA) Semarang was the winner, Effiro from Politeknik Elektronika Negeri Surabaya (PENS) was the runner up, Playmaker from Universitas Kristen Sanata Dharma (UKSD) was the second runner up, and Mobo Evo from Yogyakarta State University (UNY) was the third runner up.

“Besides, the winner of KRPAI for walking division was Cyber Rimau from University of Sriwijaya, Makalam 3.1 from Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Dinamika Bangsa was the runner up, Yudistira 3 from Politenik Negeri Bandung was the second runner up, Gareng Punk from Yogyakarta State University (UNY) was the third runner up. Then, the winner of Indonesia Soccer Robot Contest (KRSBI) was Eros from PENS, the runner up was Ichiro from Sepuluh November Institute of Technology (ITS), the second runner up was Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana (UKSW), and the third runner up was Al-Farabi from Gadjah Mada University (UGM),” Wahidin announced.

In addition, the winner of Indonesia Art Robot Contest (KRSI) was Erisa from PENS, the runner up was Azka and Agra from University of Brawijaya, the second runner up was Badaya from University of Telkom, and the third runner up was Robosterra from UGM.
