KAUMY of Faculty of Law Commits to Enhance Quality of Their Alma Mater

Recognizing that all parties should engage in fostering quality of higher education due to dynamic science development, alumni of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) associated in UMY Alumni Association (KAUMY) officially inaugurated KAUMY Commissioner of Faculty of Law 2018-2021. Conducted on Saturday (19/1) at a meeting hall of the Faculty of Law of UMY, the commissioner is expected to go hand in hand with the faculty parties to enhance quality of the faculty and to become a medium to interweave relationship among alumni.

Chief of KAUMY Commissioner of Faculty of Law 2018-2021 Ahdiana Yuni Lestari, S.H., M.Hum. committed to collaborate with all of the faculty alumni to develop the Faculty of Law. “I wish that we can synergize with faculty parties, alumni and students to create some programs,” she declared.

A lecturer of the Faculty, Ahdiana told that the programs will deal with not only academic areas but also humanity and social. “For instance, we provide aids for two alumni of this faculty affected by tsunami in Lampung,” she mentioned.

Meanwhile, Rector of UMY Dr. Ir. Gunawan Budiyanto, M.P. hoped that the alumni commissioner can contribute to the faculty enhancement. He believed that alumni of the Faculty of Law possess capability to improve educational quality of students through various experiences in a law field. “I wish that this association is not an inactive organization structure, but it can actively take roles in evolving academic and social development of students,” he expected.
