Koperasi Mahasiswa (Student Cooperative – KOPMA) of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) visited Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Jakarta and Ministry of Cooperatives (Kemenkop) of the Republic of Indonesia to have a cooperative study on Wednesday (6/2).
Head of KOPMA of UMY Arif Rifai informed, “UMY visit is a follow-up to a visit of Kopma of UIN Jakarta to UMY in 2016. Besides, it is also addressed to discover a working system and businesses of the Kopma of UIN Jakarta.”
Meanwhile, the visit to the Kemenkop was intended to ascertain program implementation from the ministry and local authorities as funds from Office of Revolving Fund Management to Small and Medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and cooperatives in Indonesia. “The main objective is to share knowledge and know student cooperatives. The other aim is to promote Kopma of UMY to Kemenkop of RI and to gain Cooperative Number (NIK),” explained Aris.
