Moral Revolution Becomes the Main Pillar in Embodying a Diverse Nation

Student Executive Board (BEM) of Faculty of Social and Political Science (FISIPOL) conducted to Tabligh Akbar on Wednesday (18/4) at masjid K.H. Ahmad Dahlan of Universitas Muhammdiyah Yogyakarta (UMY). Chief of the BEM of FISIPOL Moch. Decky Apriadi that the event was to commemorate FISIPOL’s 37 anniversary.

Decky told that the Tabligh Akbar theme, ‘Moral Revolution as the Main Pilar in Embodying a Diverse Nation,’ was in line with the FISIPOL anniversary theme. The event was for students from various universities in Yogyakarta.

Decky also informed that the tabligh akbar speaker was a young preacher Handy Bonny from Bandung. He tought that Hany Bonny’s dakwah (preaching of Islam) was touching and had special characteristics so that his preach was suitable for youths to reinforce their faith and broaden their knowledge.

Meanwhile, Handy Bonny often talks about the issues of dating in his dakwah. He believed that that dating is a moral breakdown. A lot of violence against women leads to the nation’s moral destruction, suicide, out-of-wedlock pregnancy, and future loss. “Thus, a proverb says that to destroy a nation devastates the women. On the other hand, by exalting women, a nation will be prosperous,” declared Handy.

Responding the theme, Bonny mentioned that akhlaq is morals adjusted by Islam. Good akhlaq is what Allah likes. “When we think something is good, it may not be good according to Allah, but when Allah believes something is good, it must be good for us. Therefore, genuine moral revolution is being close to Allah. That is good for us and other people since the faithful people will not harm others and will accept differences and be tolerant,” he emphasized.

Finally, Handy Bonny hoped that Islam youths, particularly who attended the tabligh akbar in this nation can be better and get closer to Allah. “I wish that, after this event, these youths have improvements to worship Allah. Give your best to the Almighty,” he maintained.
