Faculty of Economics and Business of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (FEB of UMY) always attempts to enhance its quality through reinforcing cooperation with other foreign universities such as Universitas Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM). On Monday-Thursday (6-9/11), FEB of UMY visited USIM to discuss the additional quota for a student exchange program.
Dean of DEB of UMY Dr. Rizal Yaya, M.Sc. Ak. CA stated that the student exchange program aims to support UMY mission to be a world class university. “FEB of UMY has cooperated since 2016 to conduct the student exchange program (transfer credit) so that the purpose of the visit was also to negotiate the additional quota the program. That the quota is increased for six students is expected to motivate them to join the program,” told Rizal.
He informed that UMY supports students participating in the program with free tuition fee. “This is intended to enhance students’ knowledge,” declared Rizal.
Besides, Rizal went to Universitas Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) to discuss a transfer credit semester for Department of Accounting. “The university parties agreed to send three students to have the transfer credit program at UKM and UII. Indeed, IIU has been collaborating with UMY to conduct joint research,” he ended.
