Ahmad Syafii Maarif (ASM) of Political Though and Humanity focusing on Politics and Islamic Studies earned financial aids for academic activities and research. Prof. Dr. Musa Asy’arie provides scholarship and research fellowship for doctoral students of Islamic Politics and Political Science of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY). There are two selection phases for students who would like to apply the scholarship, namely document and interview selection.

The MoU signing between and Prof. Dr. Musa Asy’arie was by Rector of UMY, Prof. Dr. Bambang Cipto, M.A., Director of Graduate School of UMY, Dr. Ahmad Nurmandi, and lecturers of Islamic Politics and Political Science Program on Thursday, 18 August 2016.

Managing Director of the ASM, Dr. Zuly Qodir, stated that the ASM was established and dedicated to support Political and Islamic Studies and Research which are in line with the university visions and missions.

Indeed, Prof. Bambang appreciated the initiation of ASM and commitment of Musa Asy’arie Foundation to contribute to science development, particularly Islamic Politics and Political Science Program. He expected that the cooperation could be enhanced to actualize the goals of both parties. Prof. Dr. Musa Asy’arie thanked the ASM and graduate school of UMY for engaging himself to contribute to science and research development in the doctoral program.
