Alumni of Department of Nursing of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) of batch 2007 reunited on Saturday (2/12). The one-decade reunion was attended by 40 alumni and their family from various areas. Conducted in Desa Wisata Sambi Ledok Pakembinangun Sleman, it brought ‘Reunited and Reconnected’ as the theme.

In a release on Saturday (16/12), Syahruramdhani, Ns., MSN told that the reunion engaged a Nursing Student Association (HIMIKA).

“The event was comprised of handing over aids to a Social Institution of Tresna Wredha (PSTW) Budi Luhur Kasongan Bantul. The institution was in where the alumni had a practicum. The aids were medical equipment, medicines, food, and a printer,” mentioned Syahruramdhani.

Afterwards, the alumni had preaching by Ustadz Syakir Jamaludin, M.A. “There were also several remarks delivered by a representative of the alumni, Chief of Nursing Alumni Association of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) Dedep Nugraha, Ns., M.Kep., and Department Head of Nursing of UMY Shanti Wardaningsih, Ns., M.Kep., Sp.Kep.Jiwa. In her speech, Shanti expected that the reunion could reinforce relationship among alumni and they could always achieve success,” stated Syahruramdhani.

Indeed, the reunion was enlivened by outdoor games, children’s performances, a sharing session, a video screening, and door prize sharing.
