Conducted by Department of Development Economics of Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta (UAJY) on Friday (4/5), the competition brought “National Economy Digitalization for Indonesia’s Golden Age 2045” as the theme.

In an interview on Monday (7/5), Anggi Aprizal explained that the competition comprised several steps. “First, we submitted a paper. Eight of thirty papers were selected and should be presented as well as debated. The eight papers were two teams from two teams of UMY, Unika Atma Jaya Jakarta, Universitas Airlangga, UAJY, Unika Soegijapranata, Universitas Negeri Semarang, and Universitas Surabaya. Afterwards, three winners were decided. The winner was UAJY, the first runner up was Universitas Surabaya (UBAYA), and the second runner up was UMY,” told Anggi.

He added that his paper was entitled ‘Synergy between BUMDes and CSR in Enhancing Village Economy through Digital-Based Economy.’ “The paper discusses how to empower digital-based economy BUMDes in the era of technology development and smartphone usage. Indeed, social media have become a need of Indonesian people,” maintained Anggi.

Anggi revealed that his research is essential to be conducted since, according to Secretary General of Kemendes, only 50 of 22 thousands of BUMDes are decent and run properly. “They need to be supervised and improved digitally so that they can increase the village income. Indeed, the supervision also aims to balance people’s prosperity as President’s Nawacita, to Develop Indonesia from Villages,” he ended.
