Taekwondo athletes of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) gained a number of achievements at Ganesha Taekwndo Championship II 2019 conducted at Gor Singodimejo, Ponorogo on 19-20 January.

UMY athletes achieved 12 medals comprising of 5 gold, 4 silver, and 5 bronze medals. They won over other 45 teams or 800 participants from Jawa Tengah, Jawa Timur, and Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (UMY).

Chief of Taekwondo Club of UMY Yusri Ihza told that his team prepared for the competition for a month. He added that his team would enhance their capability.

“I wish that they are not content to the achievements so that they could compete in international levels,” declared Yusril.
