The Number of Participants of KRPAI 2018 Reduces

Robots competing in Indonesia Fire-Fighting Robot Contest (KRPAI), National Indonesia Robot Contest (KRI) 2018 should be 31 cm width and should use ‘feet’ to get closer to objects, which are fires. At the KRI 2018, the number of KRPAI participants decreased, only 21 teams out of 24 provided quota teams.

“The number is fewer than the previous contest,” informed chief of umpires of the KRPAI, Dr. Ewil Mozef.

In a technical meeting at Amphitheater of K.H. Ibrahim of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) on Wednesday (11/7), a number of teams from Regional 2 did not comply with requirements to pass this national contest.

The teams joining the KRPAI 2018 are from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh November (ABINARA-1), Politeknik Elektronika Negeri Surabaya (EILERO), Politeknik Negeri Madiun (ASIRO), Politeknik Negeri Padang (MINANGKABAU), Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi Nuklir Yogyakarta (NEXTRON), STIKOM Dinamika Bangsa Jambi (MAKALAM 6.1), Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (AL-JAZARI), Universitas Brawijaya (BHATARA WIJAYA), Universitas Diponegoro (EWS ANDROMEDA), Universitas Gadjah Mada (AL-FATIH), Universitas Hang Tuah (RI-HANG), Universitas Islam Sultan Agung (D’AVECENNA 2.8), Universitas Jember (CDAST), Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana (R2C-ALCEO), Universitas Lampung (SABURAI ZAM ZAM), Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang (DOME), Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (GARENG PUNK), Universitas Sumatra Utara (SI-AFZAM), Universitas Tadulako (PEBETA03) and Universitas Trunojoyo Madura (MARLENA).

Eril added that the KRPAI matches are divided into two tracks that each track is monitored by three umpires.

“We have six umpires at the KRPAI 2018,” told Eril.

The umpires responsible for ‘A’ arena are Samuel Kristiana from Institut Sains and Teknologi Akprind Yogyakarta, Dawi Karomati from Universitas Gadjah Mada, and Faaris Mujaahid from UMY, while umpires in charge of ‘B’ arena are Muh. Yusvin M. from UMY, Almira Budiyanto from Universitas Islam Indonesia, and Martanto from Universitas Sanata Dharma.
