Tilburg University Invites Academicians of UMY to Study in the Netherlands

Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) welcomed a visit from Tilburg University on Wednesday (30/8) at Director Meeting Room of Graduate School of UMY. Represented by two delegates of Tilburg University, the visit aimed at promoting scholarship and study at Tilburg University to UMY academicians.

Attended by 50 students and alumni of international programs of UMY such as IPIREL, IPIEF, IGOV, IMABSS, dan IPAcc, a representative of EduPlan Indonesia Yunus Caesar told that Tilburg University offers postgraduate programs as Social Behavior Sciences, Economics, Law, Theology, Humanities, and Business Sciences. “This university also affords scholarships. One of the scholarship requirements is that applicant must have an IELTS score of 6.5 since English is used as a medium instruction in the learning process at Tilburg University,” explained Yunus.

He also presented that Tilburg University was established in 1927, and all business programs are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate School of Business (AACSB, an international accreditation agency for business and accounting programs at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral level.

Meanwhile, in his remark, Head of Cooperation and International Affairs of UMY Yordan Gunawan, S.H., Int. MBA expected that one of the UMY academicians can pursue her/his study at Tilburg University. “UMY is a leading university always inviting the students and staffs to achieve a credo of UMY ‘Muda Mendunia.’ To embody a world-class university, UMY academicians should be excellent at various aspects, particularly an academic aspect.
