Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) always seeks to achieve its goal, to be an internationally reputable university, through conducting various international programs such as a student exchange program. UMY recently accepted two students from Graduate Program of Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) for an internship program. They were an Italian Alice Consolaro and a Mexican Mariana Tapia.
It was not the first student exchange program arranged by UMY collaborating with the TU/e. “Our supervisor recommended us to do an internship program at UMY since some students previously did it here. Thus, we think that this is a great occasion to do an internship program,” stated Alice in an interview on Thursday (20/9) at Graduate School of UMY.
Alice and Maria would like to evaluate Casindo Project, a program for energy capacity development. The project aimed to build and reinforce organizational capacity and human resources to formulate energy policies to develop renewal energy project and energy efficiency. The Casindo Project was carried out from June 2009 to 31 December 2011. “Maria and I are attempting to examine the project and the data will be our internship report,” told Alice.
Besides, Alice and Maria will also visit Universitas Pangeran Diponegoro (UNIDIP) – Semarang and Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) – Medan to do their research on the Casindo Project.
