Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) provided free umroh for fourty the employees. Vice Chancellor II, Dr. Suryo Pratolo, M.Si., Akt., CA, AAP announced the fourty employee in ‘Syawalan’ and ‘Mangubagya’ of hajj and umroh pilgrim candidates of big family of UMY on Friday (15/7) in hall of K.H. Ahmad Dahlan of UMY.
The free umroh were given to employees who will retire and who are active. “There are seven employees who will retire this year, and the others are the employees who attend the syawalan today,” Suryo stated.
The seven employees have been working at UMY for 20 years. They are Muslich Hidayat, B.A, Karti Wuryanto, Basuki Yogawan, Noor Yusuf, Sukirno, Ponimin, and Wahyudi Raharja. “The free umroh is a reward to appreciate the employees for their dedication to UMY,” he conveyed.
Besides, UMY gave a Muhammadiyah figure of Tamantirto Utara, Waljiyono, due to his endeavor to share Islam. He was welcomed by a regional chairperson of Muhammadiyah, Drs. Gita Danupranata, M.M.” This is the second year that UMY rewards a Muhammadiyah figure around the university. It is expected that there will be a lot of people like Mr. Waljiyono,” Suryo wished.
UMY also awarded two employees to go hajj. They are Parjito and Jumari.
