Since established on 18 December 2014, Warung Prancis of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) has conducted a number of French social and cultural programs. On Monday (24/12), Warung Prancis of UMY organized ‘Bincang-Bincang BONJOUR’ at Museum Chocolate Monggo.
A volunteer of Warung Prancis of UMY Marlisa Putri stated that a visit to the museum aimed to learn French culinary food, namely chocolate. “We would like to explore French culture through chocolate. Even though chocolate is not from France, but Belgium, both countries possess related culture,” she declared.
During the ‘Bincang-Bincang BONJOUR’, participants noticed a making process of Monggo chocolate and tried to make chocolate.
“We are delighted to participate in this event since we discover when the world commenced recognizing chocolate and when it came to Indonesia. Interestingly, we also make our own chocolate,” expressed Marlisa.
Participants of the ‘Bincang-Bincang BONJOUR’ were students from not only UMY but also Institut Teknologi Akprind and community of Polyglot Indonesia. “The event is for public,” she informed.
Additionally, the ‘Bincang-Bincang BONJOUR’ is a regular program of Warung Prancis of UMY always raising distinguished themes such as fashion, culinary food, films, and others.
