Univeritas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) will return as a host for Monitoring and Program Evaluation of Student Creativity Program (MONEV PKM). The event is held by Ministry of Research and Technology and Higher Education (Kemristekdikti) and will be implemented on Tuesday to Thursday (2-3 June). Subsequently, the event will be participated by 46 PKMs from the southern region of Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY).
Basuki, a staff of Office of Student and Alumni Development, explained that the Monev is a stage to observe progresses of PKM conducted by all students since May 2019. Besides, the participants will perform a presentation in front of whole reviewers from Kemristekdikti. “Every group will demonstrate their PKMs and will be proceed by a question and answer session. The students will be asked to deliver their progresses, for example what equipment they build and their preparation,” declared Basuki.
Furthermore, he also added that the Monev PKM possesses vital role for students to pass the Pekan Ilmiah Mahasiswa Nasional (Pimnas) that will be held next August at Universitas Udayana, Bali. As Basuki mentioned that there are three important points for students to regard, namely proposal, program progress report, and presentation. Basuki added, “The Monev will be an appraisal for Pimnas.”
Additionally, there are nine higher education participating the Monev PKM, namely Instiut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta (4 teams), Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Kesehatan Madani Yogyakarta (2 teams), Sekolah Tinggi Tekonologi Kedirgantaraan (1 team), Universitas Alma Ata (8 teams), Universitas Jendral Achmad Yani Yogyakarta (2 teams), Universitas PGRI Yogyakarta (3 teams), Univeristas Widya Mataram (3 teams), Akademi Farmasi Yogykarta (2 teams), and Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (21 teams).
