Winners of an essay writing competition ‘Write to China’ were welcomed by Department of International Relations of Universitas Muhamamadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) on Thursday (27/4) at Building of Kasman Singodimedjo. The writing competition was conducted by Foreign Policy Community of Indonesia (FPCI) collaborating with the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Jakarta.  

One of the winners from Indonesia Annemaria Minaesta told that she gained a lot of new experiences through the competition. “Being a winner of the essay competition gave me occasions to discuss with all the winners so that I obtained new spectrums of the People’s Republic of China and Indonesia. Through the discussion, I am aware that communication is a medium of cultural and community diversity,” she maintained. 

Besides, some officials from Fujian Province such as Vice Deputy Director General of the Foreign Affairs of Fujian Province Lin Xue Feng and Director of the International Exchange Division Huang Shaorong also came to UMY with the winners.
