Winning Regional Robot Contest, University of Brawijaya Is Ready to Join KRI 2015

Registration of Participants of Indonesian Robot Contest (KRI) has opened on Thursday (11/6) at 8 am – 6 pm at Sportorium of UMY. The participants would get KIT and identity card of the contest.

One of the registered teams came from University of Brawijaya. In an interview, Fikrul Jihad, chief of the team, stated that his team departed from Malang on Wednesday evening (11/6) by bus. They immediately came to Sportorium of UMY to do registration as soon as they arrived in Jogja.

Fikrul, a student of Electrical Engineering Department of UB of batch 2012, informed that there are four teams of UB consisting of 14 participants who are students of batch 2012 and 2013 of Engineering Faculty. Each team would join Indonesia Art Robot Contest (KRSI), Wheeled Fire Fighting Robot Contest (KRPAI), Indonesia ABU Robot Contest (KRAI), and Indonesia Soccer Robot Contest (KRSBI). “We join all contest categories except legged KRPAI,” he continued.

The three previous team sent by University of Brawijaya won Robor Contest of Regional IV at STIKOM Surabaya on 30 April – 2 May. The team achieved the runner up for KRSI, the second runner up for KRPAI and KRSBI. The achievement brought them to the Indonesian Robot Contest 2015.

Dealing with their preparation, Fikrul Jihad informed that they are ready 100% for the robot contest 2015. “We are ready mentally, but we need to take a rest since we just departed last night,” he inserted.

Furthermore, several participants of KRI 2015 have come to Sportorium of UMY to register. Most of them displayed their enthusiasm.
